Avita Community Partners is a non-profit organization formed in 1993 by the Georgia State Legislature to serve individuals experiencing the disabling effects of mental illness, developmental disabilities, and addictive diseases across 13 counties in northeast Georgia. Our goal is to help individuals, families, and communities overcome barriers, providing support and comprehensive services to those in crisis. We promote the development of meaningful relationships, including natural support systems, and strive to ensure everyone has access to a home, job, and meaningful community interaction. We invite families, both biological and chosen, to serve as valued partners who share knowledge and expertise and participate in planning. Our vision is for all citizens to be supported and for every individual to reach their dreams.
