With a background in residential and partial hospitalization treatment settings, Avery has experience working with patients of all ages who have severe OCD, anxiety disorders, and eating disorders. She also has experience providing direct counseling services to a wide array of ages who have experienced extensive trauma within a domestic violence and sexual assault agency. Avery's approach focuses on creating a safe space for healing, creative exploration, emotional expression, and acceptance, using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She works with children, teens, and adults to untangle the emotional knots that get in the way of living a happy and healthy life.
