Founded in 1975, Aspira has grown to become one of California's largest and most successful social service organizations. With a mission to provide a foundation of support so that children, youth, and families can thrive at home, at school, and in their communities, Aspira offers a spectrum of services including foster and adoption services, behavioral and mental health services, residential care, educational services, community-based family services, and emergency shelter. Aspira serves over 35,000 California children, youth, and families each year from 44 community-based sites statewide. The organization is governed by a board of directors comprised of leaders from across California and is committed to innovative ideas and adapting to the needs of its clients.
