With over 10 years of experience and advanced training in trauma treatment, Ashton is a trusted mental health provider. They specialize in supporting individuals and couples dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, and relationship difficulties. Ashton's unique approach combines counseling and art therapy techniques to empower clients to overcome challenges and live a more fulfilling life. They are passionate about helping individuals and couples find their path to well-being, particularly First Responders, and offer free services to those who qualify. Ashton's Christian faith informs their practice, and they welcome clients from diverse backgrounds. They are a board member of the South Carolina Association of Art Therapists and a member of the American Art Therapy Association. Ashton's education includes a Bachelor's of Arts in Studio Art and a minor in Psychology from Newberry College and a Master's of Science in Art Therapy and Counseling from Eastern Virginia Medical School. They have completed various relevant trainings, including Internal Family Systems Therapy and Integrating Creative Art Therapies and EMDR with Complex Clients.
