Their expertise includes treating perinatal women, and they provide support and treatment for the pregnant or postpartum woman and her family. They also offer exclusively virtual counseling services to men, women, and couples. The Postpartum Stress Center is an LGBTQ affirmative Center and welcomes all individuals or couples who seek support and guidance at any time point in their lives. They foster an inclusive environment that supports and does not discriminate, regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, religion, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, or disability. They work with psychiatrists, OBGYNs, family practitioners, pediatricians, RNs, therapists, Postpartum Support International, midwifery groups, women centers, feeding support groups, and direct referrals from the mother or family members. Partners or family members are encouraged to attend the initial therapy session and participate in the treatment program to the degree both partners feel would be beneficial to the family.
