Founded in 2004 by Sallie Bernard, the organization aims to integrate people with autism into community life recreationally and socially. They offer a range of services, including recreational therapy, applied behavior analysis, speech and language, at-home and in-school services, life skills, employment coaching, and more. With their proprietary Ascendigo Way curriculum, they educate service providers, caregivers, and community members about autism and autism supports. Ascendigo serves over 225 individuals with autism annually and provides resources and services to families throughout the country. They focus on person-centered care, recognizing the unique interests, strengths, and challenges of each individual. By providing holistic supports, Ascendigo empowers people with autism to thrive in their pursuit of a meaningful and purposeful life.
