Andy Peters

They are completing their Master's in Counseling from Garrett Theological Seminary with a focus on religious trauma and queer-affirming therapeutic approaches. Andy's areas of clinical interest include PTSD and trauma, youth and young adults, and relationship reconciliation. They strive to create a non-judgmental, welcoming environment that is conducive to radical authenticity. Andy's approach incorporates person-centered theories, including feminist and narrative, somatic, and poly-vagal approaches, to empower clients to make meaning out of their experiences. They are also queer/poly-friendly and affirming, informed by their background in Gender and Culture studies and Communications and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. The Juniper Center offers a range of services, including adults, couples, and family therapy, autism support and counseling, family therapy, internship and pro bono therapy, Juniper Junior for children and teens, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, LGBTQIA+ services, medication management, postpartum and perinatal therapy, psychological testing, relationships, teletherapy services, and therapy groups. They serve individuals from toddlers to teens and provide services in Park Ridge and through teletherapy in Illinois and Indiana.
