With a background in counseling and social work, Amy views individuals in the context of their environment and uses a combination of modern techniques to help people heal and grow. Her approach is eclectic, incorporating trauma-focused, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, somatic, solution-focused, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and attachment-based methods. Amy specializes in anxiety and stress management, depression and mood disorders, relationship and communication skills, self-exploration and personal growth, and life transitions. She is also experienced in working with children, adolescents, and adults. Amy's office is welcoming, and her therapy dog, Gus, is often present to provide comfort and support. She is committed to creating a safe space where clients can express themselves freely and work collaboratively to achieve their goals.
