Since 1975, ALMA Family Services has been providing comprehensive, bilingual services to individuals with physical and/or developmental disabilities and their families in Huntington, Los Angeles. Our mission is to promote the quality of life of those with special needs by providing a range of integrated support services, advocating for rights and responsibilities, and working with businesses and government to increase knowledge of individuals with special needs. Our services include after-school programs, aquatics (swim) programs, behavioral health services, family and peer support services, and therapeutic services. Additionally, our multi-cultural clinical staff is experienced in providing mental health services, such as individual and group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and medication support. We also provide support groups for consumers with various special needs. Our commitment to excellence includes close monitoring and communication with family and physicians, as well as being a field training site for various universities and professional schools in the Los Angeles area.
