The Alliance Center for Independence is a 501(c)(3) community-based, grassroots organization that supports and promotes independent living for people with disabilities in Middlesex, Somerset, and Union counties in New Jersey. They provide information and referral services, develop and implement educational programs and innovative activities that promote activism, peer support, health and wellness, employment, and independent living skills for people with disabilities and their allies. Their mission is to support and promote choice, self-direction, and independent living in the lives of people with disabilities, with the right of the individual to inclusion in the community as the primary goal. They offer various programs, including DDD Services, Employment Readiness Programs, The Learning Studio, ACI CommUnity Market, Living My Best Life, Best Life Ever, Personal Assistance Services Program, Senior Recreation Program, Home Safety Initiative, and Emergency Preparedness Resources.
