The Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) is a state agency that supports individuals with disabilities and their families in living, learning, and working within their communities. Based in Pensacola, FL, APD serves more than 60,000 Floridians with various disabilities, including autism, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, intellectual disabilities, Down syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, and Phelan-McDermid syndrome. The agency provides multiple pathways to possibilities, including social, medical, behavioral, residential, and/or therapeutic services. APD's mission is to enhance the lives of Floridians with disabilities through effective and meaningful service delivery, empower individuals by providing timely, clear, and helpful information, and provide exemplary customer service.
