Established in October 2004 as a separate agency from the Department of Children and Families, APD is governed by Chapters 20, 393, and 916 of the Florida Statutes. We strive to improve the lives of our clients by collaborating with local organizations and private providers to offer social, medical, behavioral, residential, and therapeutic services.
