The Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) is a state agency in Florida that supports individuals with disabilities and their families in living, learning, and working within their communities. Founded in 2004, the agency serves more than 60,000 Floridians with various disabilities, including autism, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, intellectual disabilities, Down syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, and Phelan-McDermid syndrome. The agency's mission is to create multiple pathways to possibilities and provide social, medical, behavioral, residential, and/or therapeutic services to individuals with developmental disabilities. With a focus on empowerment and customer service, the APD aims to enhance the lives of Floridians with disabilities through effective and meaningful service delivery.
