Founded in 1957 as ARC Kandiyohi County, AIM has evolved to focus on the 4 Main Pillars of AIM: advocacy, wellness, education, and social inclusion. They offer a range of programs and activities, including dances, painting classes, adaptive curling, and a bowling league. AIM also provides educational seminars on topics such as guardianship, person-centered decision-making, and government. Their self-advocacy group, People First, is led by people with disabilities and focuses on social inclusion and community engagement. AIM is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Willmar, Minnesota, and serves individuals with disabilities and their families in the West Central Minnesota region.
