The Adanta Group is a community mental health center serving the mental health, substance abuse, and intellectual and developmental disability needs of individuals within Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, McCreary, Pulaski, Russell, Taylor, and Wayne Counties. With a history dating back to 1967, the agency has expanded to serve multiple counties in the region, including the recent addition of an outpatient clinic in Barren County. They employ a team of over 250 staff, including prescribers and professionally licensed counselors, to provide services to approximately 5,000 active clients. The Adanta Group is a contractor with the Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities and the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, providing health/substance use disorder services with state and federal funds. They strive to provide compassionate care to anyone in mental health distress, including suicidal thoughts and substance use crisis, through their 24-hour crisis hotline and other services.
