Pediatric Physical Therapy

Our Pediatric Physical Therapists work with children and their families to facilitate age appropriate gross motor skills. These motor skills include early developmental issues related to sitting, crawling and walking.  Older children who have difficulty with trunk strength and balance frequently need help to develop the skills needed for success in sports.  Following an injury, our PTs work on improving strength, coordination, range of motion, and pain control to help your child get back to the activities they love. To do this we work on improving:

  • Muscle Strength
  • Muscle Flexibility
  • Balance
  • Coordination
  • Ambulation
  • Gross Motor Skills
  • Range of Motion
  • Endurance
  • Safety

Our Physical Therapists use a variety of therapeutic strategies and theories including but not limited to:

  • Motor Control
  • Therapeutic Handling
  • Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT)
  • Sensory Input
  • Yoga
  • Therapy Intensives

Treatment sessions are directed by our Pediatric Physical Therapists and ensure that your child will develop new skills, strengthen muscles, and recover from injuries while using a variety of play-based techniques.
