About
YAI and its network of agencies provide a comprehensive range of services for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in New York State, New Jersey, and California. The organization was founded in 1957 with a vision to provide innovative services for the I/DD community. Today, YAI has a team of over 4,000 employees and supports over 20,000 people in the I/DD community. Their services include education, clinical services, community and socialization, crisis and behavior support, day services, employment support, family support, residential services, and technology. YAI's mission is to enable living, loving, working, and learning in their communities. They offer more than 300 programs for people of all ages, including those with autism, Down syndrome, and cerebral palsy, among others.
