At Special Olympics Louisiana, we are dedicated to enriching the lives of 12,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and their communities in Louisiana. Our goal is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. We strive to provide these athletes with opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community. With our commitment to excellence, we are proud to help these athletes lead healthier, happier lives.
