Sierra Therapy Group is a team of independently contracted speech-language pathologists & occupational therapists committed to improving children's speech-language and life/adaptive skills. The practice is proud to provide speech pathology & occupational therapy services for children in Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Lake Tahoe, Fernley, Gardnerville, & the greater Northern Nevada area. They specialize in Pediatric Speech-Language and Occupational Therapy and offer teletherapy services. Their approach is to use play and movement in sensory-rich environments to facilitate a child's success in occupational areas, and to use the power of naturalistic/play tasks to increase each child's communicative competence. The practice focuses on individual strengths and interests of each family to target specific goals and empowers children by using a child-directed therapeutic model. They also empower parents by showing them how they can scaffold successful communication and life skills.
