The Long Island Center for Independent Living, Inc. (LICIL) is a not-for-profit, non-residential advocacy center that is driven by and serves persons with disabilities. Since 1980, LICIL has helped thousands of Long Islanders with disabilities, their families, and professionals who provide disability-related services. Our mission is to empower and educate those with disabilities, while standing up for issues that have a direct effect on their daily lives. LICIL effectively works with people of any age and disability experience, regardless of whether it is lifelong or acquired.
