At Kinetic Kids, Inc. (Partner Facility | CrossFit Mettle), we understand how important it is to know if your child needs speech therapy. If you’re unsure, our complete guide to speech therapy will provide you with all the information you need. Speech therapy is often recommended for autistic children as many of them have difficulty with social communication. Even if a child is highly verbal and says a lot of words, they may need help with communication skills such as responding to questions, starting or ending conversations, changing conversation topics, using gestures and understanding other people’s body language. It’s especially important to begin speech therapy early as there is a critical period in the brain for language development and this will help your child to become more independent and confident. If your child is very quiet, says only a few words or does not speak at all, speech therapy may be the answer. Kinetic Kids, Inc. (Partner Facility | CrossFit Mettle) is here to help you with any questions you may have about whether your child needs speech therapy.
