She specializes in pediatric therapy and uses an individualized, developmental, relationship-based approach to therapy. Dr. Levine's practice is guided by a neurodiversity affirming orientation and incorporates playfulness, fun, and humor when feasible. Her approach, known as Behavior Play Therapy or Affective Play Incorporating Fears (APIF), is a play-based model that treats children's fears and phobias. Dr. Levine has authored numerous articles, book chapters, and books, and has received several awards for her work, including the 2012 Lesley University Autism Hero Award and the 2010 Federation for Children with Special Needs Founders Award. Unfortunately, Dr. Levine is no longer accepting patients and has retired.
