At Gurry Consulting, our founding educational and behavioral consultant, Dr. Susan Gurry, has been providing support to families in the New England/Boston area who are dealing with autism and related developmental disorders since 2010. Dr. Gurry is a certified special educator and administrator, a BCBA-D, and an Expert in DIR/Floortime certification. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Syracuse University, specializing in Autism as part of her Master’s Degree, and her Doctorate in Special Education and Administration from Boston University. She has held teaching positions at the Cambridge Public Schools and the Severe Special Needs Program at Lesley University for 25 years, and upon leaving Lesley in 2009, she pursued additional education in ABA Floortime. At Gurry Consulting, we take a unique approach to our services, presuming competence of the individual child and providing tailored interventions to best meet their needs. We prefer to work with one or two families at a time, providing a more personalized experience.
