Direct Advocacy & Resource Center (Direct) is a private, nonprofit organization operated by and for people with disabilities. We are part of a national network of Centers for Independent Living (CILs) that promote self-determination, independent living, and civil rights for people with disabilities. Our mission is to ensure that people with disabilities receive the support, resources, and advocacy they need to lead full and independent lives. We offer a variety of services, including peer support, information and referrals, independent living skills training, personal assistance services, and disability rights advocacy. We are committed to creating an environment of inclusion and respect for all people with disabilities and work to ensure that everyone is able to access the resources they need to succeed.
