Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI) was founded in 1961 to provide special education, therapeutic intervention, and comprehensive support for children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities. We are a non-profit, multi-site agency that serves hundreds of individuals each day across Long Island, offering educational, residential, habilitative, vocational, and transportation services. Our commitment to utilizing research-based methods and recognizing the unique needs of each person we serve has enabled us to grow substantially over the past 60 years. At DDI, we take pride in providing the highest standards of teaching, training, and care to our staff, children, adults, and families.
