Birgit H Amann, MD

Birgit H. Amann, M.D. is a highly experienced psychiatrist and Medical Director of the Behavioral Medical Center in Troy, MI. With a graduate degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and a residency in Adult Psychiatry from Henry Ford Health Systems, she has specialized in the treatment of children, adolescents and adults. Dr. Amann is board certified in Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry, and has also served as both a primary and sub-investigator in numerous AD/HD and mood disorder medication trials in children, adolescents and adults. She has lectured extensively on numerous topics across the U.S. and internationally on the topic of ADHD, and has been the expert faculty for several national television and radio broadcasts targeting mood disorders and AD/HD. With her extensive experience, Dr. Amann offers expertise in treating affective disorders and AD/HD through the life cycle.
