Best Buddies is a non-profit organization with a mission to provide individuals with developmental disabilities the opportunity to create meaningful one-on-one friendships. Our volunteers are carefully screened through an application process and background check, and are expected to maintain weekly contact with their Buddy, as well as participate in two one-on-one outings each month. With our help, people with disabilities gain important socialization skills, independence and self-confidence that are often overlooked in mainstream society. Located in San Francisco, Best Buddies is dedicated to making a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve.
