Established in 1975, ALMA Family Services is a Los Angeles-based organization dedicated to promoting the quality of life of individuals and families with special needs, including physical, emotional, and developmental disabilities. Our comprehensive range of direct, bilingual services includes therapeutic services, mental health services, after school programs, aquatics programs, behavioral health services, family and peer support services, and support groups for consumers with special needs. Our multi-cultural clinical staff has expertise in working with individuals with special needs and their families, while our psychiatrists provide medication support and close monitoring as part of their mental health treatment plans. We also serve as a field training site for a variety of universities and professional schools throughout the greater Los Angeles area. At ALMA Family Services, we strive to advocate for the rights and responsibilities of persons with special needs and work with businesses, civic associations, and local, state, and federal officials to increase knowledge of the abilities and contributions of individuals with special needs.
