About Sandra Furge

I have a BA Degree in Sociology and Psychology from Purdue University and an MA degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University. I began my career in Social Work, transitioned into corporate Human Resources and am now a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado with 10+ years of professional counseling experience. My counseling approach is client centered, holistic, psycho-educational and Mindfulness based. I work to meet each client’s needs with compassion and non-judgment and hope to help each client discover their inherent wisdom and capability of leading their lives with strength and authenticity. My approach helps clients learn skills to help them feel empowered in making healthy life decisions, manage stress and navigate life changes and relationships. I am a certified Mindfulness Instructor and have completed training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Gestalt Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Family Systems.
