Helpful next steps
I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over 10 years of experience. I have experience working with drug and alcohol addictions, law enforcement and first responder issues, traumatic experiences, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, serious mental illnesses, domestic violence, suicidal ideation, crisis counseling, compassion fatigue, and physical, sexual, emotional, and spiritual abuse. I have a compassionate treatment approach. I actively listen to your life experience with a respectful and non-judgmental approach. I encourage positive affirmations, active self care, helpful thinking, healthy habits, healing traumatic and negative emotional experiences to create positive growth. I will listen to your story, ask what you hope to gain from our experience, provide insight, and appropriately challenge unhelpful thinking styles and behaviors to create a path down the desired direction. Taking the first step can be the hardest, but it is necessary to move. I look forward to working with you. :)
