Founded in 1975, The Foundation Learning Center and The Foundation School are 501(c)(3) nonpublic special education day schools, approved by the Maryland State Department of Education and the District of Columbia’s Office of the State Superintendent of Education. We serve 300 students with emotional disabilities in grades K-12 and autism in grades K-8 in the Washington metropolitan area, with the purpose of inspiring, uplifting and motivating our students to strive for a bright future and believe they can achieve their dreams.
