Special Olympics Mississippi

Special Olympics Mississippi is dedicated to providing year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Our mission is to give these athletes the opportunity to develop their physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and share their gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics Athletes, and their communities. Our goal is to create an environment of inclusion, acceptance, and respect. We believe in the power of sports to bring out the best in everyone, and strive to promote understanding and acceptance of people with intellectual disabilities.
