Special Olympics Maryland – Montgomery County

At Special Olympics Maryland – Montgomery County, our mission is to create an inclusive, inspiring and empowering environment for individuals with intellectual disabilities. We provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports, with the goal of helping our athletes develop physical fitness, courage, joy and lasting friendships. Our athletes have the opportunity to sharpen their skills, demonstrate their courage and experience the joy of accomplishment while sharing their gifts, skills and friendship with their families, fellow Special Olympics athletes and the community.
