Programs Employing People

Programs Employing People (PEP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing individualized programs for people with intellectual disabilities. Our innovative services empower individuals to gain independence and be active members of their community. Our programs include Employment Services, Community Integrated Employment Services, Adult Day Training, In-Home and Community Habilitation, Adult Literacy and Basic Education, Arts for Socialization, Garden Programs, and Camp PEP. Employment Services matches reliable, well-trained workers from PEP with employers in the community, while our production work center provides paid assembly-line work. Adult Day Training provides daily social, recreational, and volunteer opportunities to enhance mental development and social interaction. In-Home and Community Habilitation provide individualized care services that focus on goal achievement and give family/caregivers respite. Adult Literacy and Basic Education provides instruction in practical academic and life skills to help people find and maintain jobs. Arts for Socialization creates creative art projects that improve motor skills and allow for cooperative work. Garden Programs use PEP’s garden as a classroom for nature education classes. Camp PEP is a summer day camp tailored for people with intellectual disabilities. PEP’s mission is to foster independence and provide support to individuals with intellectual disabilities so that they can be empowered and successful members of their community.
