Mr Juan Hernandez Jr is the Special Education Services Manager at Brighton Center, leading a knowledgeable and enthusiastic team of Special Education Advocates. He is married to his best friend and Registered Behavior Technician (Intern to be a BCBA), has a son in college pursuing a business degree with a minor in Japanese at Austin Peay State University in Tennessee, and two teenagers, a boy and a girl, on the Autism Spectrum. Mr. Hernandez has presented throughout San Antonio and the surrounding areas to parents and professionals about Special Education law, provided advocacy for children of all abilities, including students in DODEA around the world, and offered professional development training and consultation for local school districts. He served on active duty with the US Army for 13 years, holding multiple titles and deploying around the world and has been a member of the US Army Reserves since January of 2012. He has a B.S. in psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavioral Analysis and a M.Ed. in Special Education with an emphasis on advocacy from the University of Texas at San Antonio. At Brighton Center, Mr. Hernandez and his team are dedicated to providing quality special education services and advocacy for children of all abilities.
