Horizons is a 7-week college preparation mentoring program designed to help neurodiverse (e.g. autism, ADHD, learning disabilities) high school students (or recent high school graduates) transition to university. Our program is led by trained UMass Lowell upperclassman and provides an hour-long meeting once a week for 7-weeks. During this time, students are given a curriculum to help them gain a better understanding of college life and build their confidence for the future. Meetings can be held in-person (at UMass Lowell) or online, and students do not need to be planning to come to UMass Lowell. The next Horizons program will be offered in February 2022.
