Families for Early Autism Treatment (FEAT) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing world-class Education, Advocacy, and Support to the Northern California Autism Community. We offer information to parents of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders such as autism, Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD) and Asperger’s Syndrome, as well as resources to professionals about our organization, our goals and how we can help families. Our FEAT Family Resource Meeting is held at 7pm on the third Wednesday of most months at the Shriners Hospital Auditorium in Sacramento, CA. At these meetings, featured speakers discuss intervention or advocacy topics and there is an opportunity for one-to-one parent mentoring. Please confirm date, time, topic and location of our meetings at www.feat.org or contact us for more information.

At Families for Early Autism Treatment (FEAT), we understand the importance of helping your child communicate effectively with other people. Speech therapy can help your child with a range of communication needs, from nonverbal skills such as signs or gestures, to forming speech in a clearer way, to discerning facial expressions and their corresponding emotions. Speech therapy can also help with understanding and responding to questions, noticing and understanding body language, and even feeding and swallowing. FEAT is here to help your family get the best early intervention for your child’s communication needs.
