Established in 1975, Associated League of Mexican Americans, Inc. (ALMA Family Services) has been providing comprehensive, bilingual services to communities in East Los Angeles. Our mission is to promote the quality of life of individuals with special needs, such as physical and/or developmental disabilities, and their families. Our board of directors is composed of family members and consumers. Services we offer include therapeutic services, mental health services, after school programs, aquatics (swim) programs, behavioral health services, family and peer support services, and support groups for individuals with special needs. Our staff is multilingual and experienced in working with individuals with special needs and their families. We are also a field training site for a variety of universities and professional schools in the Los Angeles area. We strive to provide quality, integrated services and to advocate for the rights and responsibilities of persons with special needs.
