The Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) is a state agency that supports individuals with disabilities and their families in living, learning, and working within their communities. Based in Gainesville, Florida, APD serves over 60,000 Floridians with various disabilities, including autism, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, intellectual disabilities, Down syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, and Phelan-McDermid syndrome. The agency provides multiple pathways to possibilities, including social, medical, behavioral, residential, and therapeutic services.
